Although this method of presenting our tithe and offering may be different, it is important to have the same heart of worship as if you were present at the corporate worship service at church. So before you proceed, pause, pray, and take time to make sure that you
1. HAVE THE RIGHT MIND - Tithe and offering are not fundraisers for the church or giving to a charity. Rather, they are acts of worship in which you expression love for God (Matthew 6:21), trust in Him to meet your needs (Proverbs 3:9-10), and gratitude to Him for blessing your life (Genesis 14:19-20).
2. HAVE THE RIGHT HEART – What’s most important to God is that you give with a joyful and sincere heart (2 Corinthians 9:6-15). God is concerned with what’s happening inside of you, not external formality. The right thing, with the wrong heart, is a wrong thing to God. Your joyful heart before God is primary; the amount of tithe/offering is derivative.
